Mission
Our mission is to create our children of today into the future of tomorrow. In a way that confidence strengthens their soul, lifts their spirits, encourage their inner beauty and promotes fun and exciting moments in their lives! We aim to empower and motivate all children the Triad area with the tools needed to achieve all of their goals. Some issues that our children face are low self esteem, fear of failure or embarrassing situations that could keep them from facing life issues and taking on opportunities and here at Footsteps To Follow...we guide them in the right direction.
Company Overview
Footsteps To Follow cultivates strong, confident and driven children with special needs. From ages 2 to 18 we guide and support the children who come through the program. Their next footsteps are our main priority.
Description
This constant need for personal achievement is continued through infancy and into early childhood, but school begins and the child is put into a competitive environment where he/she must learn to impress peers and teachers instead of satisfying her own curiosity needs. Often, performance becomes the goal and it is believed that success will follow; rather, performance is caused by high success. An emphasis on achievement has been thought to produce higher achievement, which is true on paper, but in the minds of the children; mastery is much more effective at high achievement. Although we would like to think that we inspire our children with our words of wisdom and smart tips through our hard-earned insight and understanding, the truth is that they have within them a more powerful source of guidance and wisdom than we could ever offer them. Footsteps To Follow is a non profit organization.
